News on Royal Mail’s 2019 Postal Tariff changes

A reminder to our customers that from 25th March, Royal Mail’s parcel and letter service prices will see a slight increase. We have outlined price changes on the most popular UK standard sizes below.

Letter – send 1st class for 70p and 2nd class for 61p

Small Parcel – you can still send 2nd class from as little as £3, or £3.55 for 1st class

March 2019 special stamps: Birds of Prey

Royal Mail’s Birds of Prey special stamps issue will be on sale at Galmpton Post Office from Thursday 4th April.

The birds in the 10-stamp issue have been captured by photographer, Tim Flach and all breed in the UK, including the Red Kite, Golden Eagle and Kestrel.

February 2019 special stamps: Leonardo da Vinci

On Wednesday 13th February Royal Mail’s latest special stamps issue will be on sale at Galmpton Post Office. The latest issue marks the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci.

There are twelve unique stamps in the set, featuring a selection of da Vinci’s drawings from Her Majesty the Queen’s collection, which was acquired by King Charles II around 1670.

Galmpton winners for Post Office Money savings draw

We were thrilled to hear just before Christmas that not one but two of our lovely customers were the lucky recipients of £2,500 cash and a £100 One4all Gift Card in the Post Office Money monthly savings draw.

The Post Office Money monthly savings draw invites new and existing customers to deposit at least £1,000 into their Post Office Money savings account between 17 September 2018 and 31 March 2019, to be in with the chance of winning £10,000 plus 100s of other prizes.

November Special Stamps: Prince Charles 70th birthday

Marking the 70th birthday of HRH The Prince of Wales, Royal Mail is releasing a set of six brand new stamps on Wednesday 14th November. Purchase yours at Galmpton Post Office.

Christmas 2018 special stamps – on sale from 1 November

This year’s Royal Mail special stamps will be on sale at Galmpton Post Office from 1st November 2018.

The stamps featured in this year’s issue depict scenes of everyday life with a range of post boxes in wintry settings from towns to countryside. There are eight different designs available.

International Christmas delivery dates

Royal Mail’s 2018 guide to recommended posting dates for Christmas delivery is now available for customers to pick up in store. We’ll also be keeping you up to date with the latest recommendations via our website.

For a number of International destinations, you’ll need to hurry if you’re looking to send calendars, cards and Christmas gifts to family and friends via Surface Mail (International Economy). And don’t forget the 2019 Western Morning News calendar is available to purchase in store.

Harry Potter special stamps – on sale from 16 October

We’re delighted be stocking a unique range of special stamps from Royal Mail this month. Produced to celebrate the critically-acclaimed series of Harry Potter films, the stamps feature all of your favourite characters including Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny and Neville Longbottom.

And of course, your favourite Hogwarts students are accompanied by five Hogwarts professors on a Special Miniature Sheet, in addition to featuring the Hogwarts Express, motor bike ridden by Hagrid, the Knight Bus and Triwizard Cup.

The generic sheet, mini sheet and retail book will be on sale at Galmpton Post Office from Tuesday 16th October 2018.
