Royal Mail stamp price increase for 2020

You may have heard recently that Royal Mail announced they will be increasing the price of stamps in line with 2020 Royal Mail tariff changes.

From 23rd March, 1st Class stamps will incur an increase of 6p, to 76p and the cost of a 2nd Class stamp will rise to 65p, an increase of 4p.

Don’t forget though, buy your stamps before this date and you’ll pay the current price, but be able to use them at the new one.  A great tip for saving a little on stamps for Christmas too!

For more information on Royal Mail’s tariff changes for 2020 and how it might affect you, pop in or give us a call on 01803 842148. You can also visit Royal Mail’s website for a full list of changes.

Christmas posting guide

Take note, posters, there’s some things we wanted to let you know about with regards to Christmas postage and beyond.

Sending a gift to a family member or friend? You can post your parcel for just £2.85 so long as it fits within a Small Parcel (maximum dimensions: 35cm x 16cm x 45cm), weighs no more than 2kg and is sent using Royal Mail 2nd Class post!

Don’t get caught out by what you’re posting! In compliance with national and international regulations there are of course restrictions on what sort of items can be posted. However, you might not be aware that certain everyday items might be classed as ‘dangerous goods’ and therefore cannot be posted, or are subject to certain rules such as restrictions on quantity or volume. These include aerosols, electronic items, nail varnish, perfumes and aftershaves and Christmas gift sets including these such items.

For more information, pop in store and speak to Gary or give us a call on 01803 842148.
